This is my personal experience with the online NCA August 2020 examination conducted by @MonitorEDU, which took place on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Start Time and Login: While some individuals experienced delays or did not receive the link to their start time, I was fortunate that my test began on time. To be safe, I logged in 15 minutes before my scheduled start time.
Process Overview: The process was quite straightforward. Upon joining the event sent by @MonitorEDU, I was directed to their page, where I found the option to "start test." Clicking on it led me to a page where I had to select my institution. The NCA was listed under the letter F, despite being alphabetically ordered. After choosing my institution, I provided my personal details and then engaged in a live chat with my proctor. The proctor requested access to my cellphone camera, and I quickly scanned the room I was in, as well as my desktop arrangement.
Test Access and Timer: Once my room arrangement was verified, the proctor provided another link to access my laptop's webcam. I then read and accepted the NCA Candidate Agreement, which required an access code provided by the proctor. After receiving my user ID and password, which was my registered email ID with the NCA and my NCA candidate number, respectively, I logged in to access the test. The timer was set for 4 hours and commenced immediately upon logging in to my account.
Submitting the Test: At the end of the test, I missed clicking the submit button as the timer ran out on its own. However, the proctor assured me not to worry, as the test would be submitted automatically.
Bathroom Breaks: Yes, you can go to the bathroom with the proctor's permission during the test.
